Island Of Gods

In the heart of Bandung, where the city stretched across the landscape like a living canvas, life unfolds beneath a sky that shifts from the cool mist of the morning to the warm embrace of the afternoon. The sun spills its golden warmth over everything, from the bustling markets to the quiet streets where the scent of jasmine mingles with the sharp aroma of street food. The city feels alive, and the locals sigh in content.

In one of those quiet streets, a young girl sits cross-legged on the cool tilted floor. Her small hands are busy polishing a set of silverware. The utensils, passed down from generation to generation, gleam under her touch. Her grandmother, just a few steps away, sorts through fresh succulent vegetables. The girl pauses now and then, glancing at her grandmother, who offers a gentle nod of encouragement. She takes pride in it – as she should.

As the sun begins to set, the girl finishes her last spoon and sets it aside. Her eyes reflect all the warmth with the fading light. Her expression is one quiet but brimming with satisfaction, a sort of smile playing on her lips as she looks at her work. The day draws close but the feeling of purpose and joy lingers. She holds up the silver ornament in an everlasting night sky. The ocean of stars will last forever.
