I am Ryuto Yamane. Today, as a student, I would like to present my thoughts regarding animal experimentation.
First of all, animal experimentation is basically where animals such as mice, monkeys, rabbits, etc. are used for the trial of medicines or drugs before they are used by humans. At times, these experiments involve a tremendous amount of physical and emotional pains on the animals, that lead to death at times.
According to some people, this is considered to be unfair or cruel. One of them is Tom Regan, a Philosophy professor at the North Carolina State University mentioning that “Animals have a basic moral right to a respectful treatment. They should not be considered as scientific materials or subjects.”
This is very true since all beings are (and must be) considered to be equal. Humans should not be arrogantly using other being’s lives such as those of the animals. We all have the right to live and be respected.
Furthermore, animals also feel and behave like us, humans. They, too, feel pain as we humans do, but the rights of those animals are violated when they are used as research subjects for experiments. They experience extreme pain and some die because of this. No one among us would like to suffer or experience the same fate.
On the other hand, I am also aware that there are lives that are being saved as a result of animal experimentation. If people would have been given out medicines without any prior experiment or tests conducted to animals, there is no knowing on how many deaths of people it would cause.
So, the lives of humans and the lives of mice or rats (and other animals used for experimentation) are placed on the balancing scale. Personally, I would definitely choose to save human lives but that does not mean that I am free to abuse the animals just because of that choice.
I, myself, think that even though these animals would be used for experiments as sometimes, it is necessary, these animals should not be treated as mere objects that we own. They, too, have their own precious lives.
To conclude, I think that we could use animals for experiments, but it should be regulated. We should not give these animals excessive pain. The experiments should be done in the final state of the medicine where it is already properly refined so that it would not excessively harm the animals used. They should be protected because their lives matter too!

This is a very good article and really showed what the narrator was trying to portray. I agree that it is cruel to do animal experimentation, and i really liked the solution that he offered.
Animals that are used in the experiments are in the highest-dose groups often endure severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, convulsions, seizures, paralysis, or bleeding from the nose, mouth, or genitals before they ultimately die or are killed. I personally would like aninal experiment to be discontinued as it is inhumane and horrible.
This article is very interesting as it shows how the author of this article really considers the life of the animals being used for the experiments and how scientists people should not treat animals as an object.
After reading this article, I think that Ryuto has addressed his points very well and his arguments regarding animal experimenting are relevant. He also uses a strong and bold tone to persuade readers about his side. Overall, this is a very good article.
I love how the writer emphasizes on how every living being has the right to live and be respected, and how cruel it is to experiment on animals in the way that is not ethical. The solution that is offered is also realistic. Overall, i think that this is a good article and i agree with the statements made here.

I believe that this article was very informative. The author managed to allow us to put ourselves in the animal’s shoes. It is great to see more people spreading awareness to animal cruelty.
I strongly agree with the writer and I loved how he is so passionate in writing this article. Experimenting on animals is always unacceptable because it causes suffering to animals and it is just so ridiculous on how animals are deliberately sickened with toxic chemicals or infected with diseases, live in barren cabe and are typically killed in the end.

I agree with the writer that animals have their own rights and not to give them pain just for an experiment. I liked how the writer wrote that they have their own precious lives and their lives matter too.
It depends on the conditions of the animals, it could be a good idea for many to euthanize by testing them with a high risk of death since it is also be killing two birds by one stone.
But then again If the government don’t allow to do so and might be illegal to do so since its both humane and inhumane. It is a very conflicting idea but I like to hear more about the future that has to give about the terms and conditions for animal experimentation.

I have read the article “My thoughts on Animal experimentations” written by Ryuto Yamane, I totally agree with the writer that just because animals don’t speak our language, does not mean they don’t have feelings. Humans have no rights to torture these innocent beings just because they are from an inferior species. However, i think that the writer could include for facts and articles related to animal abuse in labs from PETA, so that the readers could have a broad idea of what is happening with animals. Aside from that, I believe this is a very powerful article and, as the writer said, scientists should find an alternate and try to end this torture.
I strongly agree with the article and we must stop this animal experimentation because they are abusing and harassing the animals for our own satisfaction
