The arrival of our friends from the School of Science and Technology (SST) Singapore, at Bina Bangsa School Bandung brought an unforgettable experience that was full of excitement and cross-cultural connection. From the moment the SST students stepped through our doors on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, for the buddy orientation and cultural welcome session with a traditional Poco Poco Dance, our schedules were packed with fun, and shared experiences. We dove straight into collaboration, working side-by-side on the BBS x SST STEAM project development and product testing. That same day, we broadened our environmental perspectives during a Dinas Lingkungan Hidup theory session and an educational learning journey to Museum ITB and the Bandung Air Monitoring Station, eventually wrapping up with a fun dinner at PVJ Mall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We continued on the next day on Wednesday, 19 August 2026, with morning buddy briefings followed by more STEAM project adjustments and classroom lesson immersion where my SST buddy experienced our everyday studies. After wrapping up our final group presentations in the afternoon, we continued with a CCA immersion, with choices such as basketball, table tennis, multimedia, and cooking. I chose cooking, and proudly made a warm, tasty plate of garlic carbonara pasta for my buddies to try.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our final morning on Thursday, 20 August 2026, featured our ultimate STEAM project presentations, followed by playful traditional and team-building games. We celebrated Indonesian culture through angklung performances and a short cultural lecture. The atmosphere quickly turned bittersweet during the closing ceremony, awards, and message card and gift exchanges. As the SST students departed at 11:15 a.m., the normal BBS timetable resumed, but the memories, laughter, and lifelong friendships forged during this incredible exchange will stay with us forever.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
