On April 29, 2026, the Bina Bangsa School Bandung Band proudly held its annual showcase concert, \u201cRetroverse \u2013 Stepping Into the Eternal Sound,\u201d alongside a meaningful book drive initiative titled \u201c100 Buku Abadi.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year\u2019s concert delivered a vibrant showcase of student creativity, dedication, and passion for music. From energetic group performances to soulful slow songs, students from Secondary 1 to Junior College worked tirelessly to present an exciting and diverse program on stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of eight songs were carefully selected to align with the theme \u201cRetroverse,\u201d symbolizing a journey into the past through timeless music. The repertoire featured iconic works from artists such as The Beatles, Maroon 5, Paramore, and Green Day, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concert opened with a powerful and energetic performance of \u201cZombie\u201d by The Cranberries, a 1990s classic that reflects the emotional impact of war. This striking opening set the tone for the rest of the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following this, the band members took to the stage and delivered a series of impressive performances, including \u201cNo Surprises\u201d by Radiohead, \u201cAre You Gonna Go My Way\u201d by Lenny Kravitz, \u201cAnything You Want\u201d by Reality Club, and \u201cSlow Dancing in a Burning Room\u201d by John Mayer, among others. Reflecting on the performances, a Secondary 1 student shared, \u201cEveryone performed at 101%!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Preparation for the concert began at the start of the academic year, with members dedicating significant time and effort to ensure a successful performance. Their musical and artistic talents truly amazed the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beyond the performers, several students played vital roles as part of the production team, contributing to various aspects of planning and execution both before and during the event. In preparation, band members attended additional rehearsals, while crew members held meetings to coordinate their responsibilities and ensure the concert ran smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than just a performance, the concert provided students with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
